» I have an empty cylinder but I don't have the cylinder refill agreement, can I get a refund?

To exchange a cylinder for one in a different category, a charge may be applicable. Use our Cylinder Exchange Policy widget to see which cylinders you can exchange.

You can take Calor cylinders abroad but you will not be able to purchase them outside of the UK.

» How many hours of heat are provided by a 15kg cylinder?

Running constantly at 3kW, a 15kg cylinder would last for around 68.5 hours.

» Do I need to pay an initial charge if I don't have a bottle to start with?

Yes, you will need to pay a cylinder refill agreement charge which covers the cost and maintenance of the Calor cylinders.

This varies between cylinder size and type, please ask your Calor Gas Direct outlet when calling 0800 662 663 or via our Cylinder Gas Shop, which can be found in the related articles section below.

» How can I monitor how much gas is left in a cylinder?

Calor’s 5kg and 13kg Patio Gas® cylinders and the Calor Lite® are fitted with Calor's new Gastrac® - an indicator which tells you when you are running low on gas.
For all other cylinders, the empty tare weight can be found on a metal disc on the shroud, this gives the weight of the cylinder in pounds and ounces. To convert this to kilograms multiply this number by 0.453592. Once you have the empty weight of the cylinder you can put it on some scales, then you will have the total weight, so you can now take the empty cylinder weight off the total, this will give you how much gas you have left in the cylinder.

» What is the empty weight of bottles?

All bottles will vary depending on their size, etc. The weight written on the metal disc on the shroud is the weight of the empty cylinder.

» What are the dimensions of cylinders?
